Johnson-Phelps VFW Post #5520 Buy a Brick Program
Johnson-Phelps VFW Post #5220 is taking orders for memorial bricks to be placed across the street from the VFW. As you can see by the illustration below, we have plans to fill many sections on the walkway as well as the area around the Flagpole. This project is currently in phase II and the flag pole area has been filled with bricks so all bricks with forthwith be added to the walkway itself.
You'll be able to make choices on what text you want to be on the brick as well as an option to add a logo symbol that represents your loved one's organization affiliation. The walkway honors past and present Veterans, Police Officers and Fireman of Oak Lawn.
As bricks are purchased for the walkway, they will be filled into the rectangular areas on an every other brick basis so your loved one's brick will be more easily findable and to keep the design more pleasing to the visitors of the area.
More photos will be added to this area as it's finished and as weather permits as well (as we all know what Illinois winters can be like!).
